About us:
Emery’s Bridge Christian Church was started in
the early 1800’s by local neighbors that broke off
from the Baptist Church founded in 1768.  The
only known reason for the separation of the
congregation was the teaching that children not
of the age to accept Jesus as their personal
savior did not enter heaven when they died.
Worship with history
The original members of the newly founded meetinghouse believed that
innocent children went directly to heaven (Deut 2:39). From this single belief
a new congregation of believers began to meet and worship.  The Emery
family donated the land and a meetinghouse was built.  Their simple beliefs
have survived for over a century and a half.
The meetinghouse was founded on the free grace
of God the Father, through the Sacrifice of Jesus,
His Son and held together in faith through the
power of the Holy Spirit. That through this gift of
salvation, not through any act an individual may
perform, entrance into heaven is assured.

The beliefs taught and followed at the Emery’s
Bridge Christian Church are basic and
fundamental.  We do not hold to denominational
doctrines that place unattainable restrictions on
members.  Grace is free and salvation is eternal.

We believe that the Bible is the word of God,
written by man through the guidance of the Holy
Spirit.  That Jesus is the Son of God the Father.
We believe in the three persons of God, in The
Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit.  Each equal
and one. We are fundamental in our beliefs, but not
fundamentalists.  We do not adhere to legalism.

We believe in the gathering together for study and
worship.  To lift Jesus up that all may come unto
Him.  To preach His gospel.  To do this, we adhere
to the two great commandments that Jesus gave:

To Love God and to Love our neighbor as our self.
And included is the new commandment that Jesus
gave:  To love our brothers and sisters in Christ as
the family of God in a special way.  A way that will
be recognized and give glory to Him that created
us.

We welcome all who wish to learn and hear the
word of God.
